This is a primer and hose assembly, and it is used on various lawn equipment. The assembly comes with two parts.

The first is the hose which is almost 5 inches long, and less than a 1/4 inch thick. The second part is the primer bulb or primer pump, and that is 2 inches long, and 1 inch wide, with a round bulb head. Together, the primer and hose assembly fill the carburetor with fuel to give your machine a quicker start. After time, your hose will crack and your primer will lose elasticity.

Ive ask the service manager if its operater error causing the failure he said that model is notorious for this problem.the dealership says its the manufacture the manufacture says it the dealership labor neither will pay for the repair.however the bolt looks rather small to me.(and its got the swivel hitch )there seems to be a slight vibration in the pto shaft that wasnt there new. Its a late model after the serial number break and performs well under a load ( man it eats the hay up: ) and i dont want to spend the extra 6-8k for a deere but the dealership puts the combines first i always have to buy them a case of beer to get it in the shop.all i want is the manufacture to identify the problem and perform a upgrade to the primary shaft so all the operaters with this model will not be down all the time and have the unessacery expense.
Both will have to be replaced when this happens. Before starting this repair make sure to drain the fuel from the tank, and remove the spark plug. This fuel line filters the fuel in the tank as it pushes into the carburetor by the primer bulb. If your carburetor is not getting fuel, ports get clogged, or the fuel line is leaking, then replacing this part will solve these problems. It is important to replace it as soon as damage is noticed because clogging can result in your engine not starting. For this repair, you will need the following tools: torx/Phillips drivers, long screwdriver, long-nosed pliers, long screwdriver, cutters or scissors, and two-cycle engine oil. For this repair, first remove the retainer ring from the fuel line and insert it through gas cap opening.
Next, thread the fuel line through the hole in the bottom of the fuel tank and pull the line through to firmly place it against the tank wall. For the last steps, put the retainer ring on the fuel line and press the ring firmly against the external side of the fuel tank wall.
Lastly, attach it to correct line on the carburetor. This spark plug is used for lawn and garden equipment engines, such as trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, cultivators, edgers, tillers and power brooms. The spark plug delivers electric current from an ignition system to an internal combustion engine, basically igniting the fuel in the engine. The spark plug ignites the fuel in the engine by producing a small spark. This part is RDJ7Y, meaning it is a resistor type, with a shell design thread size of 14mm, reach of 13/40-inch (tapered seat), and 5/8-inch hex.

Tip: When installing, open the package it comes in and add a little of the two-cycle oil in the bag, then allow it to absorb into the filter. Next, remove it from the bag and squeeze it with a paper towel to absorb the excess oil. This allows the filter to smoothly function. Refer to the manual for further installation instructions.
