Dear Incredible 2017 VBS All Star, Welcome to 2017 Galactic Starveyors VBS! Our Starveyors (children Kindergarten through completed 5th grade) will study about God, the creator of the universe. Our desire is for children to see that God wants a relationship with them.

Rally

Throughout the week, they will learn about how the relationship with God began, how that relationship became broken, how God had promised to restore that relationship, how Jesus was the way to restore that relationship, and how to continue that relationship with Him on a daily basis. Searching the visible, to discover the invisible. This outer space adventure begins with an exciting relationship with Jesus Christ that continues into eternity. They will see the Creator of everything wants to know them personally. The lessons are amazing! Vacation Bible School is an adventurous time of teaching. One week of Vacation Bible School is equivalent to three months of exciting Bible Study, which means the impact of this week can be spiritually uplifting and significant in the lives of our children.

It offers a powerful and unique opportunity to share Jesus Christ and impact the kingdom of God. I thank the Lord for each and every wonderful volunteer who makes this ministry possible. Last year, we had 2221 children attend VBS, and 119 decisions for Christ were reported during that week. This handbook will answer many questions regarding preparation for VBS as well as what you can expect during the week.

The time you invest in the lives of these children will make a tremendous impact in the years to come. Registration is available online at Idlewild’s homepage and on our Children’s Ministry VBS page (see registration instructions contained in this handbook for step by step directions).

On behalf of the entire Children’s Ministry Team, I would like to express sincere appreciation and gratitude for your willingness to come along side us and serve in VBS. Thank you for being a Kingdom Builder and reaching this generation for Christ.
